Thea Berg completed her first SHOP workout almost four years ago… and she’s only 14 years old! That puts her at least three years ahead of me when I got started lifting weights. And she doesn’t just show up on occasion… she is at the SHOP getting after it EVERY. FREAKIN. DAY! What an example she is setting, not just for other kids her age but for adults and everyone else too. To say that we (the coaches) are proud of her would be an understatement.
First, give us a little background on yourself.
What got you started and how long have you been at the SHOP?
My neighbors introduced me to the SHOP 4 years ago. My first workout was on Thanksgiving “BEAST Mode to FEAST Mode.”
With what movement(s) have you seen the most progress?
What do you like to do outside the gym?
Outside of the gym, I like to swim, hang out with my friends and be with my family.
What movement(s) would you like to improve on in the next few months?
Favorite place to eat in/near Corvallis?
Sky High or Bo & Vine
What advice would you give members just starting out at the SHOP?
Keep showing up. Drew always says this but only in the last 2 years have I been coming every day and have noticed so much improvement.
What is something others might be surprised to learn about you?
